Tourism Action Groups
The TEDC is using small tourism action groups (TAGs) to focus on specific items within the six strategies of the vision. These TAGs and their chairs are:
- Airport Arrival-Departure: Joan Gehrke, Consultant
- Cobo Center : Walter Watkins, City of Detroit
- Detroit Regional Gateway Advisory Council : Frank Fountain, DaimlerChrysler Corporation
- Hospitality: Glenda Price, Marygrove College
- Image Development : Steve Hamp, The Henry Ford
- Product Development: Doug Rothwell, General Motors
- Safety & Security: Christopher Hogan, DaimlerChrysler Corporation
- Suburban Conference Center : Benjamin Maibach, III, Barton-Malow
- Visitor Transportation Services : Ron Thayer, Thayer & Associates
