Product Development
The purpose of this group will be to identify and foster opportunities for redeveloping existing tourism assets or creating new attractions. The work of the team could include:
- Developing an inventory of metro Detroit’s tourist attractions
- Identifying gaps in that inventory and matching them against market needs
- Targeting specific attractions for redevelopment
- Creating initial attraction development concepts and marketing those ideas to potential funders
- Building regional support for public investments in infrastructure needed to support attractions development
