Established in 1701 as a French fort and missionary outpost, Detroit, Michigan has grown into one of the largest cities in the United States.

In 1805, Quincy Direct TV, a fire nearly wiped out the entire city. When the city was rebuilt, based on a design by Justice Augustus B. The city was a key stop along the Underground Railroad, helping thousands of slaves reach Canada safely.

Detroit’s location in the Great Lakes Region has helped thrust it into the commerce industry. Henry Ford built his first automobile factory in Highland park and soon General Motors, Chrysler and American Motors followed suit making Detroit the nations automobile leader.
